Sub-Division/In-Fill Update

I spoke with the realtor negotiating the sub-division in our neighborhood. He commented that the community action made zoning board approval of the original plan impossible. The developer is currently working on an alternate design that will not require the variances.

I would like to thank my friends and neighbors who helped push this issue with the zoning board. I am proud to be part of the fight against in-fill within the borough.

Access to Public Information

At Doylestown Borough Hall, I have found the staff to be helpful and prompt with regards to public information requests. Aside from the absence of a desk or work area, it's been a consistently pleasant and professional experience. I have no complaints to date.

While my requests have been treated fairly as both citizen and candidate, there are stories of residents whose experiences have been less than positive. It's not clear whether the problem is systematic or simply personality related. I would like to hear about your resident experiences with borough information requests.

If we are having issues, they must be corrected. Access to public information is essential component of trustworthy and open local government.

Washington, DC

During the past weekend, my oldest daughter and I made the trip to Washington, DC. Despite weather that could dampen many spirits, we had a great time.

Washington, DC provided a great backdrop for contemplation about government and its roles in the lives of the people.
